how the different ideologies of the United States and the Soviet Union lead to tensions and conflicts of the Cold War?

The question is: : how different ideologies of the United States and the Soviet Union lead to tension and conflict of the Cold War?

iron-fisted rule and the uncertainty that the Soviet government began the paranoia of Lenin and Stalin. Fear of potential military adventure was a big part of what is allowed fascism to take hold in Germany. Stalin was never a true ally of the West, I just needed to take care of others against the Nazis. Everyone knew that the Germans were rejected, will be a race control told the people, and that the Soviet Union try to take / annhilate it. The United States had their own interests in relation to security and reconstruction of Europe and human rights, that the Soviets always trampled all over. They have never been better than the Czar – was simply a committee instead of a ruler, a tyrant addition, the development of intercontinental ballistic missile systems with nuclear warheads created the ultimate thrill – the fear of destruction, in fact, these words were part of the acronym used to describe a bad time of peace. MADD, Mutual Assured Destruction as a deterrent, or something very close. reasons, the U.S. government not have been pure, but at least we thought that people should be able to criticize their leaders and government, and gave us freedom of the press to see the government. At the same time, does not censor the press councils, the press belonged to them. Even repressed, silenced, imprisoned and executed dissidents. Short settled in the violent overthrow of the Government of the freedom of expression is enshrined here, because the Bill of Rights.

By March Towards War: 100000 Troops Mass Around Iran – Infowars Nightly News

The march towards war with Iran appears to be under way, with fresh reports that some 100000 troops will be ready and waiting by March, should that conflict, or one with Syria go “hot.” www.prisonplanet.tv www.infowars.com

The UN Security Council has agreed it wants to avoid military intervention in Syria – but differences remain over the way ahead. The US – as well as its European and Arab allies – want President Assad out of power. For its part, Russia says the UN shouldn’t be used as a platform for excessive interference in Syrian affairs. Neil Clark, a journalist and contributor to the Guardian, believes that Russia’s stance on Syria has much more international support than one may assume. On what grounds should men sacrifice their life and women shed their tears for wars that can only be justified by ideology but not humanity. Why should deafening sounds of bullets and bombs deter the cries of our children. What are we to gain from all these pain…what are we to gain?… (Happy New Year everybody and let’s end all wars and conflicts in 2009)

Kargil war By Air & Sea – NDTV special documentary Episode 1 of 2

The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil conflict, was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LOC). The cause of the war was the infiltration of Pakistani soldiers and Kashmiri militants into positions on the Indian side of the LOC, which serves as the de facto border between the two states. During the initial stages of the war, Pakistan blamed the fighting entirely on independent Kashmiri insurgents, but documents left behind by casualties and later statements by Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff showed involvement of Pakistani paramilitary forces, led by General Ashraf Rashid. The Indian Army, later on supported by the Indian Air Force, recaptured a majority of the positions on the Indian side of the LoC infiltrated by the Pakistani troops and militants. With international diplomatic opposition, the Pakistani forces were forced to withdraw from Indian positions along the LOC. The war is one of the most recent examples of high altitude warfare in mountainous terrain, which posed significant logistical problems for the combating sides. This was only the second direct ground war between any two countries after they had developed nuclear weapons, after the Sino-Soviet border conflict of 1969; it is also the most recent. (India and Pakistan both test-detonated fission devices in May 1998, though the first Indian nuclear test was conducted

Q&A: How do I find people who served in the Korean War/Conflict?

Question by lindz: How do I find people who served in the Korean War/Conflict?
My Grandfather will be turning 80 this year and I am trying to give him a gift that would mean a lot to him. He served in the Korean War/Conflict and I was thinking I would like to contact his “old war buddies” and invite them to his party. I figured the best way was through war records and such, but I don’t really know how to go about doing this! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
